Ruth Anne (Fitzgerald) Zimba

Wolfeboro, NH Ruth Anne (Fitzgerald) Zimba, age 105, a long time resident of Wolfeboro (45 years) passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2018 a couple of days before her 106th birthday. Born on April 29, 1912 in New York City, daughter of John and Ruth (Tooke) Fitzgerald. Ruth moved many times as her father worked for the Rail Road. She went to many different schools before going to work at Western Union, where she met her husband William Zimba, whom she was married to for 67 years. Survived by her son John Zimba and wife Christina of Wantagh, NY, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband William Zimba, her daughter Mary Mclean Mcbride, and one great grandchild Ty Louis Campbell. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date in Wantagh, NY. Internment was at the Lakeview Cemetery in Wolfeboro, NH.
