Obituary

Wolfeboro, NH - Susan Eileen Fisher, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2026, in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

Born on October 31, 1949, in Brighton, Massachusetts, Susan was the only daughter of the late Kenneth and Eileen (O'Connell) Stewart.

In her younger years, Susan enjoyed collecting antiques and had a special love for horses. She cherished time spent with her family and could always appreciate a good cup of coffee. Susan went on to earn her LPN nursing license at a technical college, associate's degree in science at Massasoit community college in Brockton Massachusetts and a bachelor's degree in psychology at St. Josephs college in Standish Maine before pursuing a career as a registered nurse, where she dedicated her working years to caring for others. Above all, Susan was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured her only child and grandchildren more than anything in the world. We will miss her adventurous spirit and her famous words "I feel like going someplace".

Susan is survived by her daughter, Sarah Edwards, and her husband, Joshua Edwards, of Wakefield, NH; her two grandchildren, Maci and Bruce Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bruce Fisher, with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. She shared fond memories of the two of them building their home together, hiking and meeting at the racetrack .

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Activities Department at Wolfeboro Bay Nursing Home. Susan especially enjoyed the parties, BINGO, crafts, and coffee social hours, and donations will help support the activities that brought her joy.
