Joseph Martin Shackford

Silver Lake-Joseph Martin Shackford, 60 of Deer Drive, died Dec. 5, at Memorial Hospital in North Conway after declining health issues.   Born October 4, 1956 in North Conway, he was the son of Jesse and Ruth (Prescott) Shackford.  After growing up in Silver Lake, he lived in New Hampton for 20 years, then moved back to Silver Lake.   He graduated from Kennett High School in 1974 and went on to earn an Associates Degree from NH Vo-Tech and became a machine designer for (IPC) Freudenberg, NOK. He returned to Silver Lake and formed Shackford Construction with his cousin Paul in 2001.   He loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing.   Pre-deceased by his father Jesse Shackford and a sister Elaine Shackford, he is survived by his wife Sandra (Bean) Shackford of Silver Lake, his mother Ruth (Prescott) Shackford of Silver Lake, a son Joseph Martin Shackford II and wife Catherine of Silver Lake, a stepson Darrell Dicey of Bowling Green, KY, 2 brothers Jesse Shackford and wife Marcia of Madison, James Shackford and wife Pam of Silver Lake, a sister Emily Sheppard and husband William of Silver Lake, 4 grandchildren, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.   A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.   To send your condolences, leave a short note and sign an online guest book go to www.baker-gagnefuneralhomes.com
